Every missed call, answered before the caller moves on

You cannot answer every call. You are under a car, on a roof, with a patient, or driving. That is normal and it is not going to change.

What can change is what happens in the sixty seconds afterwards. Right now, nothing happens — the caller hangs up and phones someone else. Missed call recovery fills that gap automatically, so a call you physically could not take still turns into a conversation.

The window is much shorter than people think

Someone phoning a business usually has an immediate problem and a list of numbers. If nobody answers, they do not wait — they dial the next one. The opportunity is gone within minutes, not hours, and calling back that evening is far too late.

The damage is invisible, which is why it goes unfixed for years. Nothing on your phone tells you that the missed call at 14:32 was a job worth thousands that went to a competitor. It simply looks like a missed call.

What we actually do

  1. The missed call triggers instantly

The moment a call goes unanswered, rings out or comes in after hours, a message goes to that number automatically. No app to open, no button to press, nothing for you to remember.

  2. The message does real work

It is not "sorry we missed you". It apologises, says when you can actually talk, and asks the one question that keeps the conversation alive — what they need. A message that asks a question gets replies; a message that just apologises does not.

  3. The conversation continues by text

When they reply, they are in a thread rather than on a phone queue. Many people prefer this — they can answer between other things. Depending on your setup, the thread is handled by you, by your team, or by an AI agent that qualifies and books.

  4. The lead is logged either way

Whether the conversation converts or not, the number and what they wanted is recorded. Callers who never became customers are a list worth having later.

Questions we get asked

Do I need a new phone number?

No. It works with your existing number, so your cards, van and Google profile all stay correct.

What if the caller was a supplier or a wrong number?

They get a polite message and ignore it. There is no cost to a message that goes nowhere, and the alternative — filtering first — would mean missing real customers.

Is this the same as an AI receptionist?

They solve the same problem from different ends. An AI receptionist answers the call so it is never missed. Missed call recovery catches calls that were missed. Businesses that want the phone genuinely covered usually end up with both.

Can it handle WhatsApp instead of SMS?

Yes, and in South Africa that is usually the better channel — reply rates on WhatsApp are far higher than SMS. See WhatsApp automation for how that is set up.
